Exterior Residential Painting
Say YES to the best exterior house painting!
We customize your paint solution according to the type of walls you have and the type of paint that would suit your requirements:
Types of Interior Walls
Depending on the type of wall you have, a proper paint composition will be suggested. Oil-based paints are best for rougher surfaces while latex paints bind to many more substrates. Generally, latex paints are easier to apply but will require more coverage while alkyds are heavier and thus coat well. Latex paints work best in kitchens or areas of significant water use due to its higher mildew resistance over its counterpart. In high traffic areas or areas where children are regularly present, latex is a better solution due to its faster dry time, easy cleanup and nearly odorless smell.
Types of Finishes per Gloss Level
• Flat paint
Described as a matte finish not suitable for high traffic areas. This finish is elegant but lacks durability, which makes it ideal for ceilings.
• Satin finish
The satin finish is called the eggshell finish due to its smooth hard surface. This finish is ideal for high traffic areas as it is washable, which makes it the most used finish in a home.
• Semi glossy
This finish comes with a bit of shine and is not only washable, but also scrubbable. Semi-gloss paints are very durable and resistant so this finish is best utilized on kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, and other areas where water or condensation is present.
Gloss paint provides even more durability and aesthetic shine, with all the characteristics of a semi-gloss finish. High gloss paints leave no room for error, as the surface, gloss and reflected light interact in such a way that is revealing. This makes it best minimalistically, on high traffic areas of certain trims, doors, cabinets, etc.
